Terms of service

1. The service

dotte.ai turns photos you upload into engraving files (DXF and .cad) for laser-engraved crystals. You can preview and adjust designs for free; services are paid from your prepaid balance at the prices below.

2. Your account

You sign in with Google. You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

3. Balance and prices

• Prices are in US dollars: 3D conversion $2.99, flat photo conversion $1.99, optional AI photo enhancement $0.20, optional AI photo clean-up $0.30. New accounts get $5.00 of free balance.
• 3D orders: when you are satisfied with the point cloud and click "Finalise and open studio", the 3D conversion is paid from your balance to proceed to the studio and downloads. Flat photos: the conversion is paid at the first download. The AI photo enhancement or clean-up, if you choose it, is paid when it is done, on the upload page; a clean-up that would change how a face looks is not used and not charged.
• After that, you can use the studio and download that order's files as many times as you like at no extra cost. Editing the point cloud again later doesn't cost anything more.
• You top up your balance through PayPal. The amount is shown before you pay. Larger top-ups may include an introductory bonus, shown on the Balance page; bonus balance is spent like the rest of your balance and has no cash value.
• Your balance can only be spent on dotte.ai services; it can't be transferred or exchanged for cash, and amounts already spent aren't refunded. If finalising or a download fails on our side, that amount is returned to your balance automatically.
• We may change prices for future orders; your balance keeps its dollar value.

4. Your photos

• Only upload photos you own or have permission to use. You keep all rights to your photos.
• You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you.
• Don't upload anything illegal, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights. We may remove such content and close accounts that do.

5. Engraving files

Files you export are yours to use for engraving. Results depend on your photo, machine and crystal; previews are a close guide, not a guarantee of the physical result.

6. Fair use

To keep the service fast for everyone we limit how often some actions can be done (for example 5 3D conversions per day). Automated or abusive use isn't allowed.

7. Availability and liability

We work to keep the service running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. As far as the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law.
