Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account: your name, email address and Google account ID, from Google when you sign in.
• Your photos and designs: the photos you upload, 3D models made from them, your design settings and the files you export.
• Balance and payments: your balance history and payment records (amount, date, PayPal reference). Card and bank details are handled by PayPal; we never see or store them.
• Launch emails: if you ask to be told when we launch, your email address, used only for that one email.
• Technical: basic logs (time, address, pages used) to keep the service secure and working.

Why we use it

To run your account, make your engraving files, take payments and keep records the law requires, prevent abuse, and improve the service. We don't sell your data or use your photos for advertising.

Who processes it

• Google (sign-in, and Google Cloud hosting and storage in the EU, region europe-west1).
• PayPal (payments).
• Specialist AI processing providers, which run some of the AI steps on your photo (for example the 3D conversion and the optional AI clean-up). They receive photos only to process them for your order. Some are based outside the UK and EU.

How long we keep it

• Photos, models and exports: up to 90 days, or until you delete the order or your account, whichever comes first.
• Payment and balance records: as long as accounting law requires, even after an order is deleted.

Your choices and rights

You can delete any order yourself on its page; this removes its photo, model and files. You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account by contacting us through our contact form.

Cookies

dotte.ai uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in. PayPal sets its own cookies when you pay. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
